Overview
Notre Affaire à Tous’s Education and Awareness program, launched in September 2019, instructs on environmental law and climate justice. It aims to educate students on various topics: : the rights of nature, climate litigation, fundamental rights and global warming, and ecocide.
Climate litigation and its founding laws are also relatively new concepts. This array of concepts, which —though they mobilize an increasingly large population and in an increasingly important manner —are still too absent from school programs.
We have therefore launched this initiative to compensate for this lack of information, broaden the debate around these issues, and fight for climate and social justice for all generations.
Our Objectives
- To make citizens aware of the effects of climate change and the responsibility human activities have toward climate change
- To make citizens awareof the interdependency between human rights and the right to a healthy environment, the rights of nature as well as ecocide
- To educate citizenson the rule of law, fundamental rights and freedoms, justice, human rights and environmental law
- To educate citizenson climate justice as a tool to fight against climate change. How can I respect my fundamental rights and the right to a healthy environment?
- To increase accessibility, availability, and diversity of informationon the complex concepts of the rights of nature, climate litigation, climate justice, and ecocide
How ?
In order to reach our objectives, we are organizing teaching sessions in colleges, high schools, schools of higher education, and any workplace that requests them. These sessions include dynamic workshops, thoughtful debates, and external pursuits.
We also prioritize developing an active and interactive educational approach to cultivate content adapted for our audience and the specifics of the activity, which can include organizing or participating in events and getting involved in performances with theater troupes and artists.
